Classes

Class Placement is based on a child's age on September 1 of the current school year.

Toddler Classes

The Toddler class is offered 2 or 4-days per week for children ages 12 months to 23 months.

Instruction includes but is not limited to the following:

-Introduce basic colors, shapes and numbers 1-10

-Introduce basic sign language

-Introduce basic social skills, sharing and manners

-Nursery songs and stories

-Children attend weekly chapel

Twos Classes

The class is offered 2 or 4-days per week for children ages 24 months to 35 months.

Instruction includes but is not limited to the following:

-Introduce one color, one shape and one number (1-10) monthly

-Introduce one letter weekly

-Develop basic motor skills, both small and large

-Develop basic social skills, sharing and manners

-Introduce learning activities through art

-The children attend weekly chapel and learn basic Bible stories

Threes Classes

The class is offered 2, 3 or 4-days per week for three-year-old children. Children must be potty trained.

Instruction includes but is not limited to the following:

-Learning colors, shapes and numbers 1-10

-Introduce one letter weekly, practice tracing/writing and phonic sound

-Introduce numbers 10-20, days of the week, months of the year, proper use of scissors and glue, proper way to hold a pencil, sharing and manners

-Practice writing first name

-Learning the Pledge of Allegiance and Star Spangled Banner

-The children attend weekly chapel, learn basic Bible stories and participate in weekly rotation/enrichment classes.

Pre-K Classes

The Pre-K class is offered on Monday-Thursday.

Instruction includes but is not limited to the following:

-Learning and review letters (recognition and phonic sound), numbers 1-20, colors, shapes, days of the week in English and Spanish, and months of the year in English and Spanish

-Introduce numbers 1-100, proper way to hold a pencil and scissors, vowels and consonants, writing upper and lower case letters, writing first and last name using first letter capital and all others lower case, writing numbers 1-20

-Learning phone number, address, parents' names, independence, cleaning up after themselves, problem solving, sharing and manners, Pledge of Allegiance, Star Spangled Banner and Pledge to the Bible

-Reading: develop reading level and ability (A Beka readers are distributed at the beginning of the second semester)

-The children attend weekly chapel, learn basic Bible stories, and participate in rotation/enrichment classes.

Transitional Kindergarten Class

The Transitional Kindergarten (TK) is offered Monday-Thursday.

Class placement is based on testing and readiness.

Instruction includes but is not limited to the following:

-Review letters (writing upper/lower case and phonic sounds), all colors, shapes, days of the week, and months of the year

-Introduce recognition of vowels and consonants, blends, words containing 1-2 vowels, sentence comprehension, listening and thinking skills, numbers 1-50 (recognition and writing), counting 1 to 100 in English and Spanish, colors/shapes/days of the week/months of the year in English and Spanish, basic math, proper use of scissors and glue (no glue sticks), proper way to hold a pencil, writing first and last name using first letter capital and all others lower case

-Learning phone number, address, parents' names, independence, cleaning up after themselves, problem solving, sharing and manners, Pledge of Allegiance, -Star Spangled Banner and Pledge to the Bible

-Reading: evaluate reading level and ability (readers are distributed at the beginning of the second semester)

-Children attend weekly chapel, learn basic Bible stories, and participate in weekly rotation/enrichment classes.

Our rotation/enrichment classes include Around the World (learn something new from a different culture each week), Get Movin' (gross motor skill development), Music (singing, instruments, rhythm, and musical games) and Science (experiments and experiences to explore the world around us).
