Rev. Rick Mang: Pastor
Blog: (Rick"s Song Bag)
Role at Crowley FUMC:
I serve as the Pastor, Spiritual Formation Program Leader, and oversee the Church Staff. I preach on most Sunday mornings and help plan the worship services. I provide pastoral care to the members of our congregation and to our community. I am also a Certified Therapeutic Music Entertainer. As such, I provide song and music programs, as my schedule allows, to area nursing homes, rehab centers and Senior Citizen Centers.

Education & Background:
I have been happily married for 41 years to my wife/love of my life, Liz. We have two daughers (Maranda and Meredith), two son-in-laws (Dustin and Chad), a grand daughter (Briana), and grandson (Brazos) and two Collies (Murray and Sassy).
Favorite Scripture: Psalm 100
Shout triumphantly to the Lord, all the earth!
Serve the Lord with celebration! Come before him with shouts of joy!
Know that the Lord is God - he made us; we belong to him. We are his people, the sheep of his own pasture.
Enter his gates with thanks; enter his courtyards with praise! Thank him! Bless his name!
Because the Lord is good, his loyal love lasts forever; his faithfulness lasts generation after generation.

Cousin's Bar-B-Que & Red Robin Gourmet Burgers. Both of these restaurants happily welcome those of us who need to eat gluten free!
What I like best about the ministry:
I really enjoy preaching and helping people to discover how to grow closer to God through ancient but historically proven Christian practices. We are responsible for our personal spiritual formation. Learning what helps you draw closer to God is a cherished life-long adventure of faith.
For fun I enjoy:
Fresh and salt water fishing; RV camping; travel (Arkansas, Colorado, New Mexico, but mostly in Texas); writing (my blog, personal journaling; music (singing, guitar, banjo, uke, harmonica). I have just begun to delve a bit more deeply into photography (still a rank beginner). If I had good knees, I would enjoy walking and hiking.
